Morning & Afternoon Procedures

Should any cars purposely violate safety rules, the vehicle’s license plate number will be given to the school resource officer.

Arrival in the Morning reminder:

  • Doors open at 7:30 AM.
  • Drivers stay to the right side in the drop-off/pick-up loop.
  • Students only exit the vehicles on the passenger side next to the curb.
  • Parents/guardians, please do not exit the vehicle and walk your learner up to the school. Please say goodbye in the vehicle.
  • If you wish to enter the building, you must park your vehicle in a parking space in the parking lot.
  • WALKING TO SCHOOL
    Students who walk to school should always walk on the sidewalks when possible. Students should utilize the student entrance.
  • RIDING BIKE TO SCHOOL
    Students who ride bicycles to school may park them and lock them in the provided bike racks.

To help the dismissal run smoothly and safely, we’ve made an important update to our pick-up procedures for kindergarten students. Please remember that the official dismissal time is 2:40 pm.  

🚸 1st–5th Grade Dismissal:

  • Bus riders – Escorted to buses right after school.
  • YMCA/daycare – Escorted to YMCA or library to wait for daycare vans.
  • Walkers/bikers – Use Door 2 (main door on the south side).
  • Meet-ups with parents/guardians – Gather by the 2 trees outside of Door 2.
  • This includes all learns that want to meet up with their guardians to walk home, bike, or walk with them back to their parked vehicle.
  • Pick-Up Loop – Same procedure as last year:
  • Line up with teacher along Pick-Up Loop.
  • Parents/guardians line up along 54th St. S.
  • Use your window sign (available at Back to School Night).
  • Stay in the vehicle; students enter on passenger side.
  • Once loaded, pull into left lane and exit loop.
  • Please have learners enter the vehicle on the passenger side away from other vehicles that may be leaving the loop.

🆕 Kindergarten Pick-Up – New Location in the Bus Loop 
To ease traffic congestion, kindergarten pick-up will now be in the bus loop (south side, outside Door 2) after buses leave. 

How it works: 

  1. Approach from 50th St. S and enter the bus loop via the southeast entrance off 38th St.
  2. Park behind the buses and wait in your vehicle until all buses depart.
  3. Once buses have cleared, your child will be released to your car.
  4. Please pull as far forward in the loop as possible.
  5. Please have learners enter the vehicle on the passenger side away from other vehicles that may be leaving the loop.
  6. Exit left onto 38th Ave. S (do not turn right into Pick-Up Loop traffic).
  7. Use 51st St. S or continue on 50th St. S to leave the area.

Older siblings will check out with their teacher and join their youngest sibling in the kindergarten pick-up area (Bus Loop).
